As a culminating task for my Religious Education in Catholic Schools (Part 1) Additional Qualification (AQ) with Queen's University I have created this Portfolio which highlights some of my research and course work. This AQ has helped me engage my faith more deeply and provided a foundation to better understand how the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Standards of Practice and the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations (CGEs) direct my teaching practice as a Catholic teacher.
This portfolio is broken into three complimentary and synergistic sections that reference contemporary pedagogical best-practices, OCT standards and sound Catholic education doctrine. The primary focus includes:
- The OCT Ethical Standards of Care, Respect, Trust and Integrity.
- The OCT Standards of Professional Practice, Professional Knowledge, Commitment to Student Learning, Leadership in Learning Communities and Ongoing Professional Learning.
- The seven Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations..
